When the opportunity arose to work at Miller Marriott, Josephine couldn’t say no. Even though Jo had only been out of college and working elsewhere for a year, we knew we wanted her work ethic, fierce loyalty, and ability to learn on our team. She is our newest team member, responsible for sales, marketing and client support. She spends her time working with potential clients and external partners. Jo oversees social media and marketing related projects. She is quickly learning about real estate transacting and the nuances of vacant land, is working towards her real estate license and soaking up the design|build knowledge from the team.

After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Retail Merchandising from the University of Minnesota, Jo was excited to work for a highly talented production team at Kohl’s, where she would be responsible for one of the largest women’s brands at the company. She continued to gain more responsibility, including collaborating and negotiating with global partners. And while Miller Marriott is not global, these skills certainly still come in handy.

Jo already appreciates the “production” aspects of what it takes to build a home from beginning to end: the planning, the materials, clear communication and teamwork. Her favorite aspect of being a part of the team is new home delivery and witnessing the joy of a client’s dream coming true. Personally, she loves the kitchen in a home because she feels it is the center of the home and naturally draws people together. In her free time, Jo loves spending time with her family and 4 dogs (yes, 4), practicing yoga, cooking, and attending an occasional Bucks game with friends.
